Alexander Zverev, a finalist at Roland-Garros on Sunday, has unsurprisingly withdrawn from the ATP 250 tournament in Stuttgart, which kicks off the grass-court season this week. The German's decision benefits Richard Gasquet.
Beaten in the 2nd round of qualifying by compatriot Pierre-Hugues Herbert (6-3, 6-7, 7-6), the Frenchman will enter the final draw as a Lucky Loser. Exempted from the 1st round (due to Zverev's n°1 seed status), he will face Brandon Nakashima in his 2nd round opener.
