1. For Roger, Rafa cannot catchup until RG, and if Fed can get AO and Wimby, Fed could be 2 ahead come USO time.
2. Novak can take once step nearer in GS to both Roger and Rafa, and he can get back to nr. 1 if he goes all the way. Being nr. 1 or two is massive for RG, because the only way Novak can get another RG, is if Nadal and Thiem are on the same side of the draw, but to go through Thiem and Rafa on clay in 3 days, is = near impossible.
3. For this year at least, only Fed and Novak can get this record: winning the GS at least twice. Rafa has to wait another year (again) to get that record. Highly unlikely for Roger or Novak to get it, but still have an outside chance.
All in all, a lot riding on the next 4 days of tennis for all 3 legends.
Or will the new or lost gen come and spoil the legends party?
Go Novak, defend the Legends Squad against the youngsters! ??
Future GOAT: congrats Champ!
If Thiem or Zverev wins the tournament, I would be glad he finally won a GS after so much effort. Will be an interesting finish for sure!
Would that satisfy some sore losers?
BTW, did you guys saw the look of Novaks face after the end od the third set?
