Tonight, we have another prime example of how much is important the mental part of the tennis game. Nole proved it again, and so did Hubi with errors in critical moments. Rarely will you see someone serving like the way Hubi did in those 2 sets. Never the less, Novak did even better on his service games. Never faced a single break point. That's 8 sets in a row. Amazing

Even with a big serve imagine the precision required to hold 12 times under huge pressure against greatest returner. Losing tiebreak at 6 is not choking

GOAT story, narrative... was initiated by sponsors of RF. It started from the moment when RF surpassed the gs record of Sampras. They saw the opportunity to milk the cow for decades, being convinced nobody will surpasse him. RF fans loved that narrative, logically... They all insisted: gs was the key merit. Now, we got a hard, cold reality someone else surpassed him COMFORTABLY. Upsss

One point of Alcaraz is way more watchable than djokovic's whole match

Jeet, he's the goat like you have two feet! He's the goat like the food that you eat! He's the goat like the cushion on your seat! He's the goat like the rhyme to your beat! He's the goat like the house on your street! He's the goat like the sugar to your sweet! 😎

Jeet just stop dude. He's the goat man. The sooner you accept it, the less painful it's gonna be. He was goat when he had 20, 21, 22 and now 23. The only difference is that now it's undeniable and undesputed. Your discontent towards him will never change cold hard facts. I can only imagine how infuriating it must feel. I bet you even think about it before falling asleep. Crazy how one man's greatness can cause so much agony for another. 😂

Bogbot, try as you might to rationilze it, there's simply no debate my friend. No what ifs. No different eras. No different technologies etc. Irrespective of different circumstances, times, players, debates, etc., what is plain to see is that Novak Djokovic is the most complete and successful tennis player of all time, today! Does that mean he will forever remain the goat? Only time will tell, but he is resoundingly, indisputably the best tennis player the world has ever seen. 🫳🏼🎤

Even though Rolex came up with the advert, that points don't matter. In tennis, we do count them while we compete. Also, we do count matches, titles, accolades.... Of course, it does matter. So, if 2 guys are from the same era, they played each other 50 times. I repeat 50 times!!... and one guy won more gs titles, masters titles (only one to win all 3 times and twice, respectively), better h/h against other guy, including dramatically better h/h in gs, gs finals, finals... "Debate" sounds silly...

Popularity is second, records first. Educate yourself about Novak what his foundation does for unfortunate children and donates millions to various causes around the world. Shows the class beyond doubt.

He loses 2 tiebreaks at 6 to the greatest player in history no more talk of throwing it away, choking, or pathetic anything. That is ridiculous these guys are not machines

@bogbot I cannot remember anyone mentioning equipment, surfaces etc when Federer was the GOAT. Suddenly when Nole became Goat with all stats on his side, we are now counting that as well? Lol funniest thing I heard in a while

Also, It appears that I was deceived thinking for a very long time that RF was holding all big records in tennis. Little did I know, it's actually Stefi Graff and Margaret Court!! I only learned about it the moment Novak surpassed RF records. On the same note, people here are already proclaiming Alcaraz - "future goat". Kinda anyone, as long as his name is not Novak. Hilarious...

@ Oscar: Typical comments by someone who has a rudimentary understanding of a game called tennis!! Tennis is a game where you can beat opponents by outpowering them, and also ousmarting and outlasting them during the point, game, match. Most of the average Joe spectators don't understand those other 2 ways, except power only. Tennis is a very intricate game... and the beauty is there...

Not about popularity but about ability. If you're telling me that Djokovic has more tennis ability than Federer then seriously you need to rethink about watching tennis. I'm astonished how Novak supporters conveniently ignore the fact that Djokovic started beating Federer when he was well past his prime. I mean a 38 year old washed up Federer almost beat the so called goat. No disrespect to Djokovic as a player or person but to say he's better than Federer on the basis of misleading numbers is a bit over the top.

@ idemo: "Hate is the poison one is drinking, thinking he'll ruin the other person by doing that."... It's pointless, yet so many people are driven by hate. You'll find so many sports fans have bigger hate feelings toward one team or a player, then love feeling toward their own favorite team or player... unfortunately
