Tsonga: "Alcaraz dominates today, but what would he have done against the Big 3?"

Tsonga: Alcaraz dominates today, but what would he have done against the Big 3?

In an interview with Univers Tennis, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga shared his thoughts on Carlos Alcaraz. According to the former world No. 5, the young Spaniard currently dominates the tour, but comparing him to the legends of his own generation remains a challenging exercise.

What results would Carlos Alcaraz achieve if he faced the Big 3? A question that many former players have tried to answer, with some believing that Alcaraz, for example, could have been stronger than Federer, Nadal, or Djokovic.

For his part, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga admits he would have liked to see Alcaraz compete against his generation, which included the Big 3 and many other formidable players:

"Alcaraz is a truly complete player. But today, is he stronger than those players? Mentally, physically... we're not really sure.

What I would have liked to see is Alcaraz winning Roland-Garros by beating Del Potro in the third round, Murray in the round of 16, Djokovic in the quarterfinals, Federer in the semifinals, and Nadal in the final.

That's what I would have liked to see, because today he dominates by a wide margin. There are only two of them for now (with Sinner), and he only has one rival."
