Video - When Nadal Dazzled Tokyo with a Legendary Slice Against Monfils

Between tension and virtuosity, Nadal won his only title in Tokyo in 2010 with a surprising shot that made Monfils falter.

In the final of the 2010 ATP 500 in Tokyo, Rafael Nadal faced Frenchman Gaël Monfils. As the number one seed, the Spaniard dominated his opponent in two sets (6-1, 7-5) to claim his seventh tournament of the year.

The final was marked by this splendid return executed by the Majorcan: a backhand slice banana shot that completely surprised Monfils. A shot sufficient to frustrate the Frenchman and secure the decisive break in the match.
