Serena Williams at 44: Is a Shocking WTA Tour Comeback Coming? 'She Would Do Serious Damage,' Says Alycia Parks
Will Serena Williams make a stunning comeback to the WTA Tour at age 44? While the former world No. 1 initially stated last year that a return was not on the agenda, she has since kept the door ajar in an interview on the Today Show, fueling speculation.
'She Would Do Serious Damage on the Tour'
In an interview with Tennis Majors this Saturday, American player Alycia Parks confirmed that she trained with Serena Williams this week, believing that her level of play would still make her a fierce competitor on the tour.
'I trained with her last Monday. And I sent her a message yesterday. She is clearly a role model for me and has helped me a lot, especially in training. She is in incredible shape. I think she would do serious damage on the tour.'
