ATP Rankings: Vacherot climbs 164 spots, Rinderknech Top 30, Alcaraz widens the gap

The Shanghai Masters 1000 concluded this Sunday with Valentin Vacherot's victory, leading to consequences in the rankings. Coming from the qualifiers, the Monegasque player gained 164 spots and entered the Top 100 for the first time in his career, at 40th place.

His cousin, Arthur Rinderknech, defeated in the final, also made a leap of 26 places and now sits at 28th, his career-best ranking, becoming the French number 2, just behind Ugo Humbert, who is 25th.

Forced to withdraw in the third round in Shanghai, Jannik Sinner lost 950 points as he was the defending champion. As for Carlos Alcaraz, although he did not participate in the tournament, he only lost 200 points.

The Spaniard thus gained 750 points on his main rival and now holds a 1340-point lead over the Italian.

Arthur Cazaux, winner of the Jinan Challenger, advanced 12 places and also reached his career-best ranking, 58th.
