Henman analyzes the Alcaraz final: His leg problem had something to do with it

After an intense final, Tim Henman revealed what he considers to be the true turning point of the Sinner-Alcaraz duel.

A few hours after what will remain as one of the tennis peaks of the season, reactions continue to pour in regarding Jannik Sinner's victory over Carlos Alcaraz (7-6(4), 7-5) in the ATP Finals final.

At the heart of the debate: the discomfort in the hamstrings felt by Alcaraz, a detail that many validate as the determining factor in this final.

For Tim Henman, the former British player and a recognized voice on the BBC, there is no doubt that this physical issue was the inflection point of the match.

"To be honest, I think the leg problem had something to do with it. Alcaraz changed his style of play and became much more aggressive in attack, which he is capable of, but I think he would have liked to prolong the rallies if he hadn't been injured."

"In the first set, he had his chances and Sinner knew how to respond. I think the crowd cheered for Sinner, but I love seeing Alcaraz afterwards, respectful and always smiling."
