33 shots and a splendid conclusion: the massive rally between McDonald and Etcheverry in Athens!

McDonald won a splendid rally against Etcheverry in Athens.

Having barely made it through the qualifiers, Mackenzie McDonald, the world's 110th-ranked player, faced Argentina's Tomas Martin Etcheverry to open the schedule on the Center Court of the ATP 250 tournament in Athens.

While the battle began in the first set (7-6 to the American), it continued into the next set.

Indeed, at 1-0, 15-40 on Etcheverry's serve, the two men delivered a true rally for the spectators present on site. And after 32 shots and a beautifully executed drop shot by the Argentine, McDonald stretched to come and finish the point.
