Another Withdrawal for Fils: The Frenchman Withdraws from the ATP 500 in Basel

Still suffering from a back injury, Arthur Fils will not be present in Basel next week.
The end of the season is fast approaching. The European indoor tour has already begun and will continue in the coming weeks. Moreover, from October 20 to 26, the traditional ATP 500 in Basel will take place.
But Arthur Fils, initially registered, will ultimately not make the trip to the Swiss city. Suffering from a stress fracture in his back during Roland Garros, the world number 31 had returned for the Masters 1000 in Toronto.
His last match dates back to August 1st against Jiri Lehecka in Canada (defeat 3-6, 6-3, 6-4). This withdrawal benefits Jenson Brooksby. It should be noted that with the next withdrawal, it will be Arthur Rinderknech, recent finalist of the Shanghai Masters 1000, who will enter the main draw.
However, the French players will be well represented in Basel next week. The defending champion Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, Ugo Humbert, Alexandre Muller, and Benjamin Bonzi are all confirmed to be in the main draw.
