"When she serves like that, it's difficult to do anything," Paolini reacts to her defeat against Sabalenka

Beaten 6-3, 6-1 by Aryna Sabalenka at the WTA Finals, Jasmine Paolini could do nothing. In comments collected by Super Tennis, the Italian player reacted to her defeat.
"I think she is a difficult player to face, especially given her style of play. She doesn't give her opponent much time and her serve is excellent.
It's a shame about the first set, because I had several opportunities to stay in the match. But she played well in the important moments. When I had the opportunity to break her, she hit service winners, even aces.
She is not an easy player, especially on such a fast court. She made 81% of her first serves? I didn't know that statistic. When she serves like that, it's difficult to do anything.
I could have served better, especially on the first serves. I could have been more reactive and faster. I tried, but today it didn't work. I hope to raise my level of play in the next match."
Paolini will face Gauff this Tuesday for her second group match at the WTA Finals.
