Rybakina: "What I experienced this week, I will carry it into next season"
In Riyadh, Elena Rybakina ended the season in spectacular fashion: 11 consecutive wins, a WTA Finals title, and a strong message sent for 2026.
The final image of the 2025 season will be that of Elena Rybakina, holding the WTA Finals trophy. In Riyadh, the 2022 Wimbledon champion reminded the tennis world of her immense talent.
"I didn't have many expectations, so I didn't feel that pressure. I preferred to take it point by point, without thinking about anything else until match point. Then I realized I had won. Everything that happened this week, I'm taking it for next season.
It gives me the motivation to work even harder. I've experienced what it's like to win a Grand Slam, and also what it means to lose one. So every experience makes me stronger," she shared in an interview relayed by Punto de Break.
Back in the Top 5, Rybakina thus concluded the season with three titles (Strasbourg, Ningbo, and the WTA Finals), in addition to two WTA 1000 semi-finals (Canada and Cincinnati).
