"He plays impressive tennis," says Sinner about Auger-Aliassime

He plays impressive tennis, says Sinner about Auger-Aliassime

Jannik Sinner will face Félix Auger-Aliassime in the final of the Paris Masters 1000. The world number 2, who will reclaim the top spot in the rankings if he wins, is wary of the Canadian.

Sinner was swift this Saturday in the semi-finals of the Rolex Paris Masters. The Italian conceded only one game against a physically diminished Zverev. As a result, the 24-year-old player will regain the number one ranking if he succeeds in the final against Félix Auger-Aliassime this Sunday.

Sinner is wary of his future opponent, even though he has already beaten him twice this season, in the quarter-finals in Cincinnati and in the semi-finals at the US Open. Auger-Aliassime will play his second Masters 1000 final after Madrid last year.

"Félix (Auger-Aliassime) plays impressive tennis. He has improved significantly, especially in recent months. He has found his tennis again. I'm really looking forward to playing tomorrow's (Sunday) match. It's a great opportunity for both of us, especially because it's a final.

I hope it will be a great battle. I'm happy for Félix, he's a very nice guy on the tour. We are going to push each other to the limit, it will be complicated, but I'm enjoying the atmosphere in Paris, and I know that after the final I will have a few days of rest, which will help me to be at 100%," Sinner thus stated to Punto de Break.
