Sinner in Steamroller Mode in Vienna: "Everything Worked Tonight"

In just 58 minutes, Jannik Sinner dominated his first-round match against Daniel Altmaier. Lucid and confident after the match, the world No. 2 savored a nearly perfect start.
Jannik Sinner delivered a simply perfect performance in his Vienna debut. The 2023 tournament champion spent only 58 minutes on court against Daniel Altmaier, winning with a clean score of 6-0, 6-2.
This display is already being considered one of his best performances of the year from the world No. 2. On court, interviewed by TennisTV, Sinner shared his thoughts:
"Everything worked in the first set. I made almost no mistakes, everything was perfectly in place. I always feel very comfortable during this part of the season, in these indoor conditions.
At the same time, I have to stay on my guard when facing opponents who can serve very well and return very well.
When that's the case, it's always complicated to break serve. (In this match), when I had a double break lead, I tried to test new things.
I'm very happy with my performance tonight, I started this tournament perfectly, both in terms of my game and emotionally. I'm happy to be here and to have the opportunity to come back and play tomorrow."
Sinner, the No. 1 seed of the event, will face his compatriot Flavio Cobolli for a spot in the quarterfinals.
