A dream run: French player Rakotomanga one match away from her first WTA title

A magical week on the hard courts of São Paulo. After sweeping aside Renata Zarazua, Tiantsoa Sarah Rakotomanga is set to play the most important final of her young career.
Rakotomanga is just one step away from her first WTA Tour title, all at just 19 years old. Ranked outside the top 200 in the world, the Frenchwoman continued her dream run on the hard courts of São Paulo, dispatching Renata Zarazua in two quick sets (6-3, 6-2) to reach the final.
This marks the third Mexican player she has eliminated this week, having previously defeated Ana Sofia Sanchez in the first round and Victoria Rodriguez in the second round.
The final of the Brazilian tournament will be an unprecedented matchup, as Rakotomanga joins Janice Tjen, the Indonesian revelation of late summer, who in turn defeated Francesca Jones in the semifinals (7-6, 6-3) and has not lost a single set all week.
Regardless of the final result, the Frenchwoman will break into the top 150 on Monday, virtually reaching a ranking of 149th.
