A former world No. 50 attempts a comeback

Juan Ignacio Londero has returned to competition in recent weeks.

As a reminder, this player won the 2019 Cordoba tournament as a wild card.

He also reached the Round of 8 at Roland Garros that same year, losing only to a certain Rafael Nadal.

Hampered by a serious injury for over a year, he now hopes to play a series of injury-free matches.

For example, he made a comeback at the Cali Challenger, where he racked up three wins.

This week, he was entered for the Antofagasta tournament.

He reached the quarter-finals in Chile, eliminating the tournament's number 1 seed Ugo Carabelli.

Thanks to invitations to the South American challengers tour, the 31-year-old Argentinian is looking forward to a string of matches over the coming weeks.
