A packed schedule is an integral part of our sport, we have to accept it," Clijsters responds to players' complaints about the schedule

The debate around the schedule is very regularly fueled by players, stating that it is too long and that it is impossible to keep up with the pace.
Asked about this by the media Bolshe, Kim Clijsters gave her opinion: "Complaints about the schedule have always existed, exist and will always exist. There are players who are unhappy about everything.
I was a member of the WTA board in 2003-2004, and for two years, I heard nothing but 'the schedule, the schedule.' And now, it's the same.
To shorten the tennis season, the entire ranking system, the points system, needs to be changed. That's the only way to change anything. But many players don't want the tennis season to be shortened.
It's a hopeless situation. The organizers and tournament directors are doing their job: they create jobs. Many things are changing for the better.
It's part of the sport. I think it's impossible to please everyone. Some tournaments have to exist.
For example, November and December tournaments are necessary because not all players have the chance to play many matches throughout the season.
That's how tennis works. Not all players reach the final. Most are eliminated in the first and second rounds. So they have time to rest before the next tournament, unlike those who reach the final and win tournaments.
I think we just need to understand that a packed schedule is an integral part of our sport and accept it.
