ATP Miami - Indian Wells: Which players have won the "Sunshine Double"?
The Indian Wells-Miami double is considered one of the most difficult feats in tennis. Moving from California to Florida (3,500 km separate the two venues) is a challenge, as the playing conditions are vastly different. Windy desert in Indian Wells and stifling heat in Miami.
Nicknamed the "Sunshine Double," only a handful of players have achieved this feat. Djokovic is the most successful among the men with four Sunshine Doubles in 2011, 2014, 2015, and 2016.
Federer comes in second place (3 'SD' in 2005, 2006, and 2017). They are followed by Agassi (2001), Rios (1998), Sampras (1994), Chang (1992), and Courier (1991).
As for the women, Graf is at the top of the podium (2 'SD' in 1994 and 1996). She is followed by Clijsters (2005), Azarenka (2016), and Swiatek (2022).
