Miami Masters 1000 Draw: Possible Clash Between Zverev and Draper in Quarters, Djokovic with Medvedev
The draw for the Miami Masters 1000, which begins on Wednesday, has just been revealed. It should be noted that the seeds are based on the latest ATP rankings update, unlike the WTA draw.
As in Indian Wells, Alexander Zverev will be the tournament's top seed in the absence of world No. 1 and defending champion Jannik Sinner.
The German, who was eliminated early in California, will start against Bonzi or a qualifier. He could then face Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in the third round and potentially Arthur Fils in the round of 16.
Zverev is also in the same quarter as Jack Draper, who benefits from his new ranking to be the No. 6 seed. The Indian Wells champion will face Bautista-Agut or Mensik in his opening match.
A possible rematch of the Indian Wells final against Holger Rune could take place as early as the round of 16.
Novak Djokovic, who is returning to Miami for the first time since 2019, will face Hijikata or Medjedovic in the second round. He could challenge Daniil Medvedev in the quarterfinals.
At the bottom of the draw, Carlos Alcaraz, the No. 2 seed, will start against Vukic or Goffin. He has a relatively favorable draw, with a potential duel against Dimitrov in the round of 16 and a possible quarterfinal against Ruud.
Finally, French No. 2 Ugo Humbert will await the winner of the clash between Learner Tien and Joao Fonseca in the second round.
