After a disastrous start to the season, Haddad Maia ends collaboration with Tchoutakian
Beatriz Haddad Maia has established herself over the past two seasons as a solid Top 20 WTA player.
However, the level displayed by the Brazilian in recent weeks has fallen far short of her usual standards, with only two wins this season against seven losses—six of which came in her opening matches.
Currently ranked 18th in the world, Haddad Maia has ended her partnership with French coach Maxime Tchoutakian. They began working together in January, but the Brazilian’s poor form led to the termination of their collaboration, as announced by the coach on his Instagram account.
Tchoutakian previously coached Victoria Azarenka, helping the former world No. 1 reach the Indian Wells final in 2023.
