After his defeat at Queen’s, Monfils withdraws from Mallorca
Following back-to-back first-round exits in Stuttgart and Queen’s, Monfils has just withdrawn from the Mallorca tournament scheduled for June 22–28. This withdrawal allows Bosnian player Dzumhur to enter the main draw.
Last year, the Frenchman competed in the Spanish tournament (reaching the semifinals) before advancing to the third round at Wimbledon.
With this setback and just days before the English Grand Slam, the 38-year-old player is currently enduring a very challenging grass-court season.
