Alcaraz beats Hurkacz to reach Rotterdam final

Carlos Alcaraz has qualified for the final of the ATP 500 in Rotterdam after beating Hubert Hurkacz in three sets (6-4, 6-7, 6-3).
The two men put up a fine fight for over two hours, with the first set seemingly a foregone conclusion for Hurkacz, who led 4-1 and had three break points to follow on Alcaraz's serve.
However, the Spaniard woke up and managed to string together a series of high-flying points to break his opponent, before going on to win the first set 6-4.
The second set, as tight as ever, went logically to a tie-break. Alcaraz seemed to have the upper hand with a mini-break at 5-4, but then lost the next three points to give Hurkacz the tie-break.
The third set saw fewer twists and turns, with the world No.3 making the break straight away, enough to reach the Rotterdam final for the first time in his career.
Alcaraz, who has raised his game throughout the week, will tomorrow attempt to win his first indoor title against Alex De Minaur, who has not lost a set since the start of the tournament.
