Alcaraz defeats Medjedovic in Cincinnati and matches a Djokovic milestone
Carlos Alcaraz faced Hamad Medjedovic in the third round of Cincinnati. A straightforward match for the Spaniard, who won 6-4, 6-4.
However, he did concede a break in the second set. This victory marks his 50th win of the season, a statistic he has achieved for the fourth consecutive year.
He is the first player to accomplish this feat since Novak Djokovic, who did so between 2013 and 2016.
In the next round, Alcaraz will take on his friend Luca Nardi.
