We don't feel very good in more than half of the matches we play," says Alcaraz
Carlos Alcaraz defeated Hamad Medjedovic in Cincinnati. The Spaniard continues his run in this American Masters 1000.
Interviewed on court after his match, he was asked how he manages to win on days when he doesn't feel at his best.
He responds: "I always say that the season is very long, with many matches and many tournaments. In more than half of the matches we play, we don't feel very good.
You have to stay positive and just play the best tennis possible that day. I am really happy to be able to play my best tennis in very difficult matches, even if I don't feel at my best.
I am just happy and proud of that, because it is something I work on.
