Evening schedule disrupted by rain and postponed to Wednesday in Cincinnati
On Tuesday, rain appeared early in the day in Cincinnati. Matches in progress were interrupted for several minutes before things returned to normal.
However, the delay during the day had consequences for the rest of the schedule in Ohio. Indeed, four matches scheduled for the evening could not be completed, or even started, due to the poor weather conditions.
Two matches were interrupted: Zverev-Nakashima (6-4, 5-4 in favor of the German, who was about to serve for the match) as well as Pegula-Linette (6-7, 6-3), and will resume this Wednesday. Additionally, two matches planned for late in the day could not even begin: Shelton-Bautista Agut and Tauson-Kudermetova.
