Alcaraz discusses his injury comeback: "I think I passed the test"
Alcaraz made a successful debut in Rome by defeating Lajovic in 1 hour and 22 minutes of play. Returning after his adductor injury in the Barcelona final, the 22-year-old had to skip the Madrid Masters 1000. He spoke on the court after his victory:
"My body feels good. After today’s match, I think I moved well. I made some good sprints without any pain. It was great. A real treat for me. I think I passed the test.
Trying to feel more comfortable on the court, moving without thinking about the injury. I think today was a very good day at the office. I hope tomorrow and Sunday will be even better."
With ten wins in his last eleven matches, the Spaniard will now play for a spot in the round of 16. He will face the winner of Djere vs. Michelsen.
