Alcaraz: "My plan is to go to Rome"
Carlos Alcaraz was forced to withdraw from the Madrid Masters 1000 due to a right leg adductor injury.
He is currently training in Murcia and assessing his condition to decide whether he will play in Rome or not. A major stake awaits in Rome: the world No. 2 ranking, which would hypothetically allow him to face Jannik Sinner only in the Roland-Garros final.
The Spaniard stated in comments relayed by *As*: "My plan is to go to Rome. I will do everything possible to be at 100%. We’ll see in the coming days, but I hope to play in Rome.
I don’t want to take anything for granted, but I think we will definitely be at Roland-Garros, and the goal is to be in Rome. We will try to make it there."
