Alcaraz Officially Withdraws from Madrid
Tests conducted on Carlos Alcaraz have confirmed a minor tear in the right leg adductor area.
This injury, sustained during his final in Barcelona against Holger Rune last Sunday, has forced him to withdraw from the Madrid Masters 1000.
His participation in the Rome tournament is also uncertain as he aims to be fully fit for Roland-Garros.
He stated: *"During the Barcelona final, I injured my right leg adductor muscle, but I also felt something in my left hamstring.
We tried everything to address it, but it wasn’t possible. I’ll undergo another examination on Monday to assess the injury’s progress.
Then, we’ll evaluate the timeline for the coming weeks. In a week or two, I’ll gradually resume training.
I don’t want to rush, but I’m confident I’ll be ready for Roland-Garros, and we’ll try to make it to Rome. I consider myself someone who comes back stronger after injuries."*
