Alcaraz reacts, one set all at Wimbledon!
Daniil Medvedev still has a long way to go. Opposed to an Alcaraz on his way to a Roland Garros / Wimbledon double, the Russian will have to maintain a high level of play if he is to secure his place in the final.
After an excellent first set (7-6), Medvedev had to face the full force of the world number 3's comeback. Moving up another level, the El Palmar prodigy dominated proceedings in the second set (6-3).
Serving much better than in the first set and showing himself to be much more consistent and aggressive, the Spaniard settled for an early break to level at one set apiece (6-7, 6-3 after 1h31 of play).
Despite being badly outplayed at the start of the match, it's now 'Carlito' who seems to have taken the ascendancy, although everything remains to be done on Centre Court!
