Carlos Alcaraz once again completely neutralized Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarter-finals of the French Open (6-3, 7-6, 6-4). He never seemed to be in danger and joined Jannik Sinner in the semi-finals almost untroubled. The Spaniard is looking forward to a new confrontation with the Italian, whom he praised in an interview with Mats Wilander.
Carlos Alcaraz: "It was a very good match, I played very well. There were very few ups and downs in my game. I kept my emotions under control on the court and stayed very calm. I'm really happy with the way I managed everything. I'm very happy to be in the semi-finals again.
Playing Jannik (Sinner) is always a very tough challenger. He's the best player in the world right now. We've played some great, great matches against each other, at a very high level. Thanks to him, I'm pushing myself to be better, to become a better player, to demand more of myself. I'm grateful to be able to play him and try to beat him.
It's going to be a very tough challenge. And I'm ready to leave my soul on this magnificent court. It's the match everyone wants to see. He's going to show his best tennis and so am I."
