The schedule for October 3rd in Beijing is now known.
While the first two quarterfinals of the women's draw at the WTA 1000 in Beijing took place this Thursday, the last two matches will be held on Friday, October 3rd.

Before that, there will be a quarterfinal match in the doubles draw between the pairs Tereza Mihalikova/Olivia Nicholls and Hsieh Su-wei/Jelena Ostapenko at 1:00 PM local time.

Following that, the third quarterfinal of the singles draw will feature Sonay Kartal against Linda Noskova. The two players faced each other in Rome this season, and the Czech player emerged victorious.

The player who comes out on top in this second encounter of the year will compete in her first WTA 1000 semifinal. In the evening session, not before 6:00 PM (local time), a clash between two members of the top 20 is on the schedule.

Thus, the two American players Jessica Pegula and Emma Navarro will meet and compete for the final spot in the semifinals. The higher-ranked of the two players, Pegula, leads the head-to-head record 2-0 against her compatriot. However, watch out for the world No. 17, who eliminated Iga Swiatek in the previous round (6-4, 4-6, 6-0).

As we move to the end of this month and also closing out the year I am wishing all of those following me a Merry Christmas and a Happy/Healthy New Year.

Let's make that wish for all 2000 plus players hoping for 5 wins each day. Hoping ŵhen we open the results page to see all green, and no red. And especially NO CANCELED matches.

From me and my rotti JAZ, I bid you all good night, and see you in...

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.

The finals are here, and we scramble for the best finish. I've been chasing "King" all year and I was able to shrink the spread a little. Skelp is also closing the gap.

Seasons best to all the regulars in our league.

Will you all be back in the new year.?

Steffi Graf completed a Golden Slam (not just a career Grand Slam) when she was 19. She is the only person to accomplish that, winning the four majors plus Olympic gold the same calendar year.
