Andreeva and Shnaider at the WTA Finals: The Two Russians to Compete in the Doubles Masters

The Russian duo Mirra Andreeva and Diana Shnaider have reached a major milestone in doubles by qualifying for the WTA Finals, following an exceptional year marked by success at the highest level.
Mirra Andreeva and Diana Shnaider have achieved very strong results in doubles in recent months. After winning the silver medal in women's doubles at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, the two Russian players confirmed their form this year by notably winning the WTA 1000 in Miami last March.
Thus, the two compatriots have officially qualified for the WTA Finals. This is the first time the two players will compete together in the women's Masters.
"The promising young duo won their first career doubles titles in 2025, triumphing at the WTA 500 tournament in Brisbane as well as the WTA 1000 in Miami. The pair also reached the semifinals of the WTA 1000 tournaments in Doha and Rome, as well as two Grand Slam tournaments this season, first at the Australian Open, then at Roland Garros.
Andreeva is also well positioned in singles in the Race rankings, currently holding 7th place with over 4100 points," can be read on the official WTA website. Andreeva and Shnaider thus become the fifth pair to officially qualify for the 2025 edition of the WTA Finals, which will take place from November 1 to 8 in Riyadh.
Before them, the pairs Katerina Siniakova/Taylor Townsend, Sara Errani/Jasmine Paolini, Gabriela Dabrowski/Erin Routliffe, and Veronika Kudermetova/Elise Mertens had secured their spots in Saudi Arabia this autumn. Three spots therefore remain to be claimed in the coming weeks.
