Anisimova defeats Noskova and claims the title in Beijing

This Sunday, Amanda Anisimova and Linda Noskova faced off for the WTA 1000 Beijing title. The two players had engaged in a tight battle during the Wimbledon round of sixteen three months earlier.
The first set completely eluded the Czech player, who lost 6-0 in just 23 minutes. But she quickly regrouped in the second set by breaking her opponent right away, before securing a double break at 4-2.
After Noskova won the second set 6-2, a decisive set began between the two players. Anisimova had to fend off an early break point before seizing the Czech's serve in the 6th game.
Despite a break-back opportunity immediately after, Anisimova held firm and broke her opponent again, ultimately winning 6-0, 2-6, 6-2.
The American solidifies her position as world No. 4 by winning her 2nd WTA 1000 this year, following her title in Doha earlier this year. She has also qualified for the WTA Finals.
