Another Withdrawal in Shanghai, Rinderknech Enters the Main Draw

Withdrawals are piling up at the Shanghai Masters 1000, offering Arthur Rinderknech an opportunity to shine in this Chinese tournament in early October.
Withdrawals continue to accumulate at the Shanghai Masters 1000. Just hours after Gaël Monfils, Alexei Popyrin has also pulled out of the Chinese tournament. Before them, Jack Draper, Tommy Paul, Grigor Dimitrov, and Arthur Fils had done the same.
The Australian, ranked 39th in the world, hasn't played since his second-round loss at the US Open against Jannik Sinner and will therefore not be competing in Shanghai this year. This latest withdrawal benefits Arthur Rinderknech, who has now received his second piece of good news in just a few hours.
After being added as a lucky loser in Beijing following the withdrawal of Tomas Martin Etcheverry, the Frenchman now enters the main draw in Shanghai for the third time in his career. Last year, he lost in the second round to Alejandro Tabilo. Rinderknech's entry brings the number of French players registered for the 2025 edition to ten.
