Arthur Fils after his victory in Rome: "I will try to reach the top 10"

Arthur Fils won his first match in Rome by defeating Griekspoor in straight sets (6-2, 6-2). Having qualified for the third round, he will face Tsitsipas for the second time this year. The Greek had retired in the quarterfinals in Barcelona.
After his victory, the Frenchman spoke to Tennis Channel. Ranked 14th in the ATP rankings, the Bondoufle native is ambitious and expressed his goal of reaching the top 10:
"When I started the season, my goal was to reach the top 15, and I’m already there. Now, I will try to reach the top 10. I will work as hard as possible to get there."
Recently, the 20-year-old player suffered a first-round upset in Madrid against Comesana (7-6, 6-4). Until then, he had reached three consecutive quarterfinals (Indian Wells, Miami, Monte-Carlo) and a semifinal (Barcelona).
