Arthur Fils reflects on one of the career injuries: "It was the worst moment of my life"

Arthur Fils will face the tough challenge of taking on Carlos Alcaraz this Saturday for a spot in the final. After a hard-fought quarterfinal loss in Monte-Carlo, the Frenchman will look to get his revenge against the world number two.
Meanwhile, the Bondoufle native opened up about his career, particularly discussing the injury that left a mark on his journey:
"It’s the hardest thing for athletes to deal with. A few years ago, I fractured several vertebrae. It was the worst moment of my life. I had to go through a lot of rehab and be patient."
The world No. 14 also shared his biggest inspirations and the player he considers his main rival today:
"My favorite rivalry is Federer and Nadal’s, because I watched so many of their matches. Especially that legendary final when Roger made his comeback at the 2017 Australian Open.
I’m still young on the tour, but for now, I’d say Alejandro Davidovich Fokina is one of my biggest direct competitors."
