At 18, Fonseca breaks into the Top 100

Winner of the Next Gen Masters, the Canberra Challenger and Andrey Rublev in the 1st round of the Australian Open, Joao Fonseca has enjoyed an impressive month of success.

Thanks to these results, the Brazilian will break into the Top 100 next Monday. He is currently ranked 99th in the world.

Fonseca will thus become the youngest player ever to join the Top 100, at just 18 years and five months.

He will be present with the Brazilian Davis Cup team to face France next week in Orleans, before playing the clay-court tour of South America, where he has received wild-cards for the Buenos Aires and Rio tournaments.
