ATP 500 Barcelona: With Four Top 10 Players in Attendance, the Full List of Participants Revealed

The Barcelona tournament will undergo a change in its organization this year, moving from a 32-player draw to a 48-player draw.

As a result, the list of registered players, which was revealed this Monday, is more than impressive. Carlos Alcaraz, world No. 3, will be the tournament's top seed, ahead of defending champion Casper Ruud, Andrey Rublev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Alex De Minaur.

Following them are Holger Rune, Lorenzo Musetti, Frances Tiafoe, and Arthur Fils, rounding out the list of Top 20 players who will participate.

There should be plenty of excitement on the Pista Rafa Nadal, even though the event will now compete with the Munich tournament, which has been upgraded to the ATP 500 category this season.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.
