ATP announces record prize money for Challenger circuit in 2025
On Wednesday, the ATP confirmed a further increase in Challenger prize money for 2025.
Since 2022 and the "OneVision" strategic plan, the ATP's secondary circuit has gone from $12.1 million (2022) to $28.5 million (2025) in the space of three years.
"As part of OneVision, the ATP has set up a dedicated Challenger Tour team with new leadership to oversee growth and new revenue opportunities.
Significant investment in marketing, spearheaded by the launch of the 'On The Rise' brand campaign, has played an important role in enhancing the circuit's visibility and commercial appeal," reads the statement on the ATP's official website.
ATP President Andrea Gaudenzi also welcomed the news.
"Creating a sustainable pathway for players to the main circuit is vital for the future of our sport.
Since 2022, we have invested in significant reforms on the Challenger Tour.
The results have been clear: record prize money, year-on-year increases and, most importantly, more Top 250 players benefiting from better financial compensation at this level," he concluded.
