ATP President Gaudenzi on Saudi Arabia: We are currently underpaid.

ATP President Andrea Gaudenzi spoke about Saudi Arabia, a country that is determined to have an influence on tennis in the coming years.

While he confirmed that there will be no Masters 1000 there until 2028, Gaudenzi takes a positive view of their interest in tennis.

We are currently underpaid," he says. The Grand Slam events, the ATP, the WTA and the ITF need to come together to build a better product and a fair formula for dealing with compensation.

The work Saudi Arabia is doing with tennis is very impressive.

They invest a lot of money. They have infrastructures, hire experts and the hospitality offered to players is incredible.

I think they'll do a great job."

Andrea Gaudenzi
