ATP Awards: Mensik voted revelation of the year!
Jakub Mensik has won the ATP Tour's Revelation of the Year award, breaking into the Top 50 for the first time in his career this season.
The Czech started 2024 ranked 167th in the world, and came to prominence on the main circuit by reaching the final of the ATP 250 in Doha, where he successively beat Andy Murray, Andrey Rublev and Gaël Monfils.
At the end of the season, he reached the quarter-finals of the Shanghai Masters 1000 (beaten by Djokovic).
Thanks to this fine progression, Mensik finished 2024 ranked 48th in the world. He will be in Jeddah next week to play in the Next Gen Masters.
