Auger-Aliassime raises his voice before Alcaraz at Roland-Garros

Felix Auger-Aliassime qualified for the last 16 of the French Open with great authority on Saturday. Expecting a much closer duel, the Canadian dryly defeated Ben Shelton in less than two hours and three short sets (6-4, 6-2, 6-1) on Court Suzanne Lenglen.
In a match that began on Friday on Court 7, before being suspended due to rain at 5-4 in the 1st set, Auger-Aliassime mastered his subject from start to finish. Perfectly neutralizing the American in all areas, he conceded just 3 games out of the 16 played today, spending just over an hour on court.
All the more reason to boost his confidence ahead of the huge challenge awaiting him on Sunday. The Canadian will try his hand at climbing the Carlos Alcaraz mountain in a bid to reach the quarter-finals.
