Auger-Aliassime withdraws from the Paris Masters 1000

The Canadian has decided not to take part in the Paris tournament, which starts on Monday.

He was due to face Ben Shelton in the first round. The match had been eagerly awaited by many spectators since yesterday's draw.

The American will face a lucky loser in his first match in Paris.

Auger-Aliassime is still on the entry list for the Metz tournament (November 3-9), but his withdrawal for the Paris Masters leaves his participation in doubt.
