Australian Open: date and time of the draw

The Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the season, will deliver its first clues when the draw takes place, which will be closely scrutinized.
There's plenty at stake in both the men's and women's draw, and as always, there's sure to be plenty of entertainment and surprises.

With eight days to go to the start of the competition, we now know the date and time of the draw for the various tables.
It will take place on Thursday January 9 at 2.30pm local time (4.30am in France).
The tournament officially kicks off on Sunday January 12, and concludes two weeks later with the men's final on January 26.
