Kyrgios lashes out at Hewitt's son after shared workout with Sinner: "I thought we were friends"
With just a week to go before the start of the Australian Open, Nick Kyrgios, who will be making his return to Melbourne for the first time in two years, continues to divide the web with his controversial statements about Jannik Sinner and his doping affair.
This Saturday, the 29-year-old Australian took direct aim at Cruz Hewitt, son of Lleyton, who will be taking part in qualifying for a Grand Slam for the first time after being granted a wild-card.
The latter posted a photo on his Instagram account alongside Sinner in training, which apparently caused Kyrgios to be disappointed:
"I love you Cruz but this is crazy. I thought we were friends."
As for the last comment, a simple needle emoji, it refers to the injection of doping products.
