Australian Open: Medvedev, Rybakina, Rublev - Fonseca and Monfils - Mpetshi Perricard on Tuesday's program

The 1st round of the Australian Open comes to a close on Tuesday, with a number of matches that have been eagerly awaited since the draw.

On Rod Laver Arena, the line-up has been the subject of some debate since it was unveiled.

The day kicks off (from 11:30 a.m. local time, 1:30 a.m. in France) with the match between Emma Navarro and Peyton Stearns, followed by Daniil Medvedev's debut against Kasidit Samrej.

In the evening (from 7pm local time, 9am in France), Australian No.1 Alex De Minaur kicks off his tournament against Botic Van de Zandschulp, before an opposition between Olivia Gadecki and Veronika Kudermetova.

The Margaret Court Arena will have an interesting program to follow: Z.Zhang - Rune, Rybakina - Jones, Wei - Paolini and the long-awaited Rublev - Fonseca.

This match between the Russian, seeded No.9, and Joao Fonseca, a young Brazilian who has been impressing in recent weeks, is not to be missed under any circumstances.

Other matches to watch include the French confrontation between Gaël Monfils, recent winner in Auckland, and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, semi-finalist in Brisbane.

It will be played on court 3 in the second rotation (not before 12.30 pm local time, 2.30 am in France).

Last but not least, we can also mention Fritz - Brooksby, Popyrin - Moutet, Berrettini - Norrie, Shelton - Nakashima or Alexandrova - Raducanu.
