Badosa becomes ambassador for Saudi Arabia: "We share the same values"
Paula Badosa has officially become an ambassador for the PIF. An announcement that confirms the growing influence of the Saudi kingdom on world tennis.
Saudi Arabia continues its offensive in the world of tennis. Present through the PIF (Public Investment Fund), the Middle Eastern country appears as a sponsor on the ATP and WTA tours, but also organizes the WTA Finals since last year and the Next Gen Finals for the men.
Furthermore, several players have signed an ambassador contract for the PIF, such as Rafael Nadal and Matteo Berrettini.
This time, it is a female player who has been appointed ambassador. On her social media, Paula Badosa announced her collaboration with the PIF to promote the development of tennis.
"What made me want to work with the PIF is that we share the same values, namely advancing tennis, empowering the next generation of players, and creating opportunities for everyone," explained the world No. 18 player.
