WTA 1000 Beijing: Paolini knocks out Kenin, Rybakina eliminated, Badosa and Krejcikova withdraw

The WTA 1000 tournament in Beijing continued this Sunday. While defending champion Coco Gauff held her ground earlier in the day, that wasn't the case for everyone. On the other hand, Jasmine Paolini will indeed see the round of 16.

The Italian eliminated Sofia Kenin (6-3, 6-0) and dominated the American for the first time in her career in four encounters. A victory that allows her to face Marie Bouzkova, who defeated Veronika Kudermetova (6-3, 7-5), for a spot in the quarterfinals.
