Roddick on Rybakina: "She has the best serve in the world and I'm betting on her in 2026"
Andy Roddick, on his podcast Served, discussed serving in women's tennis. Known for this shot during his own career, he named the current best server in his opinion.
"When Rybakina is in top form, I think she has the best serve in the world. And frankly, I don't think anyone comes close. Maybe Aryna Sabalenka, when she's really at her best.
But Rybakina can hit anywhere on the court: at deuce and at advantage. I think she'll have a truly exceptional season next year.
This year has been chaotic to say the least, for various reasons, both personal and related to her search for a coach. It seems like a year of distractions. But when she's fit, she plays really well.
She was playing well before the US Open; I even bet on her making the final. I might be too impressed by what I see, but I'm betting on her in 2026."
