Badosa confirms her renewed form at the US Open!
Paula Badosa qualified for the last 16 of the US Open on Friday. The Spaniard had to fight hard to defeat Elena-Gabriela Ruse, saving a match point after 2 hours and a half of play (4-6, 6-1, 7-6[8]).
Although she had feared she would have to end her career after suffering back problems at the start of the season, the former world No.2 confirms her return to the forefront in New York. She will face either Victoria Azarenka or Wang Yafan in her bid to reach the quarter-finals.
